...I have really enjoyed your Invitation to Cat Spring. It has the elements of a good story; vivid description, effective dialogue, bits of humor and an especially interesting subject. The use of letters to advance the story is very effective. The book gave me an excellent impression of living conditions in South Texas during the Civil War and the years immediately preceding.
